I've been trying to get through my to be read pile, so I've been using a number generator to randomise which book I shall be reading. Here are some of the books I've been reading to lower my TBR pile.

001. Fallen - Lauren Kate
I had this book for what feels like forever and never been that interested in picking it up. I've heard mixed reviews and I have to say, it wasn't that great for me personally. I thought the characters were actually well developed and likeable but I didn't enjoy the love triangle trope that happened near enough straight away. Overall I wouldn't pick this up again.

002. Death On The Cherwell - Mavis Doriel Hay
I picked this up in a charity shop as I wanted to read more British Library Crime Classics after reading 'The Santa Klaus Murder' by the same author. However I just can't get into this book at all, it's so boring and the writing style isn't my cup of tea. I find the characters yet again pathetic and pretentious. I found myself skimming through this more then actual reading.

003. Rose Madder - Stephen King
I enjoyed this book more then I thought I would. It had a element of magic realism which made the perfect storyline. I loved all the characters and found the main evil character a great development!. I think this book is actually one of my favourite King novels that I've read to date.

004. Scarlet - Marissa Meyer
Scarlet is the second book in the Lunar Chronicles. This was a fun and quick read. The thing I liked about this book was how two different story lines ended up intermingling and created an ending that wasn't confusing and also left you wanting more. I found the characters to be likeable and funny however they didn't really stand out as being exceptional to me. Overall it was a good second book of a series.

005. A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms - George R.R. Martin
Let me start of by saying the illustrations which are done by Gary Gianni are beautiful and work so well within the book. This book takes place a century before the whole A Song Of Ice And Fire series and is a tale about a man called Dunk and a child called Egg. I have to say, I really enjoyed this book more then I thought and you don't even need to read ASOIAF to enjoy this.
