RECENTLY READ #3

I've been on a right little reading binge and I love it. Here are some of the books I've recently finished reading.

The Accident - C.L. Taylor
I liked the idea of what this book could be and for near enough the first half of the book, I was really enjoying it. However it just went a little downhill and I found myself getting annoyed with the main character. All about a woman called Sue who's daughter walks into a bus and is in a coma, Sue thinks if she finds what the secret her daughter has then her daughter will wake up. To be honest, the whole story is built around her daughter yet everything more or less revolved around Sue. The ending was naff and I was left annoyed.

Missing, Presumed - Susie Steiner
Another crime thriller book, and it wasn't that half bad. I loved the characters apart from Edie who goes missing. I also loved how the storyline progressed and left you wanting to read more. I loved the character development of Manon the cop a lot. However once again I was a little let down when the reveal came out as it felt a little meh and a little bit of a cop out.

Raw Deal: The Untold Story Of NYPD's "Cannibal Cop" - Gil Valle & Brian Whitney (Kindle)
I was intrigued by this book because obviously it's about a 'cannibal cop' and I really wanted to read a non fiction crime because I do find those interesting. This is told by the man accused Gil and I honestly feel for this man. I didn't know that this was a national story until I read this. I'll make it clear that this man didn't do anything, he was arrested for thoughts, which are disturbing but he had no intention to harm in real life. I found myself warming to Gil throughout the story and I'm glad he has a good working life now.
