RECENTLY READ #1

30.3.17

I haven't read much recently, I've really lost that drive to read however when my nan gave me a few books to borrow I've slowly delved back in. So here are some of the recent books I've read.

1. The Loving Husband - Christobel Kent
I love crime books and psychological thrillers and this one sounded like it would be a good one. However it just didn't hit the right notes especially the ending. It felt like the ending was rushed and they didn't know how to end it so just crammed ideas in. I'm still not entirely sure on why the man was killed to be honest. I did like how the start and the lead up to the end and I found myself wanting to know more.

2. The Client - John Grisham
John Grisham knows how to write good crime books and this one is no exception. All about a little boy who is older then his years and the relationship between him and his lawyer is an delight to read as it evolves. I've found myself not wanting to put this down as it just grips you into wanting to know more and what will happen to the child.

3. The Runaway Jury - John Grisham
Another John Grisham which wasn't as good in my opinion to 'The Client' however still a gripping read. This book tells the tale of a trail around a tobacco company and a mans death. However the jury selected all start to behave strangely and a woman suggests she can predict the jurors odd behaviour. I liked this book when it was about the jurors however there was too many characters that I was getting confused on who was who. I also found the actual trail to be boring and too much information was being told that my head was jumbling up.
