APRIL WRAP UP 2016

30.4.16

I can't believe this month I have managed to read 8 books. I love being back on the reading game.

Perfume - Patrick Suskind
A stunning tale of a frenchman who becomes obsessed with capturing the sweet scent of humans. A story which sucked me in straight from the start and had me wondering what would happen. It really helped me delve a little more into earlier era fiction.

A Room Swept White - Sophie Hannah
This book really got me back into reading and is a thriller which had me guessing to the last possible moment. This story really sucked me in and I found myself not wanting to put this book down or want it to end.

Little Face - Sophie Hannah
Another Sophie Hannah book but I honestly can not get enough. They are so good and keep me wanting to read. This one had such a good ending and again had me guessing till the last possible moment.

Kind Of Cruel - Sophie Hannah
This book wasn't my favourite due to the main characters. They were all so stupidly cocky and annoying and found myself hating them. The main plot however was great and I loved the story.

The Point Of Rescue - Sophie Hannah
This was again such a good Sophie Hannah book which I did not want to put down. I liked the characters and the plot was a good one. It's just made me love Sophie Hannah and her writing all that much more and can't wait to pick up the rest of the books.

It's Not Me, It's You - Mhairi McFarlane
Different from the rest of the books I've read this month as this was a cute little romance \ comedy books which I loved. I cried, laughed and felt myself loving the main characters. My second McFarlane book and I can't wait to read more.

The Other Child - Lucy Atkins
Ah this was a good little thriller book that I enjoyed reading. I had no clue what the secret was until it was revealed and it was a good one. The ending was a bit meh and some characters in my opinion were just thrown in there for no reason. However it was a good read and I enjoyed it.

The Accidental - Ali Smith
I couldn't get into this book at all. Purely because the writing style was making the story hard to follow and I found myself skipping pages which just seemed to list pointless things as to bulk out the book. The ending was naff and I still aren't sure what the book was actually supped to be about.
