COMICS/GRAPHIC NOVELS I'VE READ & LOVED.

3.8.15

I've only recently started to look more into comics and graphic novels. There are loads that I would love to read but I'm slowly dipping my toe into this part of the reading world. I've been in Forbidden Planet and honestly, I was getting overwhelmed by the amount of comics they had to offer. I've recently been looking at videos to see what people seem to suggest so I have a good idea on what ones I would like to read.

So today I decided to show the ones I have and what I love about them.

The Wicked And The Divine Vol 1: The Faust Act
I saw a lot of YouTube videos about this one and decided that It sounded so good. This is the first 1-5 comics.
The synopsis is "Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. The team behind critical tongue-attractors like Young Avengers and PHONOGRAM reunite to create a world where gods are the ultimate pop stars and pop stars are the ultimate gods. But remember: just because you’re immortal, doesn’t mean you’re going to live forever"
I loved this a lot and I love the artwork in this. I can't wait to get my hands on volume 2 which has another pretty cover.

Adventure Time Vol 1: Playing with fire
I love the tv show and I actually got this from someone for Christmas a around 2 years ago. I found this so cute and I loved the drawings. There are so many Adventure Time stuff out there that I wouldn't know what to buy next!.
The Synopsis is: "Join Finn as he goes on his most intense adventure yet…with his crush, the Flame Princess!"

Fight Club 2
Ahhh Fight Club 2. Something I have been looking forward too for so long!. Chuck Palahniuk is my all time favourite author (I'm thinking of doing a post about my collection of his books). I actually completely didn't know when this was coming out but my friend showed me and I immediately went and ordered the first one. The next two I actually got from Forbidden Planet.

The Synopsis is: "Some imaginary friends never go away . . . Ten years after starting Project Mayhem, he lives a mundane life. A kid, a wife, pills to keep his destiny at bay. But it won’t last long; the wife has seen to that. The time has come . . .
Rize or Die"

Raised By Raptors
No shame that I actually got this one because Oliver Sykes from Bring Me The Horizon actually wrote it. I really did enjoy this though and I loved the story it told and the artwork. I've actually never seen where to get the rest or if he even carried on writing it.

The synopsis is "If everyone you ever loved died, would you want to live?" This is a question six year old K'abel has to ask herself. Consumed by loneliness, guilt and spiraling sense of complete abandonment, K'abel is disconnected, and truly lost in the darkness. But when forced to choose between life and death, she realises that even in our darkest moments, a fire still burns within. And the darker it's gets, the brighter the flame. Raised by Raptors is the epic journey of a girl who has lost everything she knew and loved. But what if everything she thought she knew, she never knew at all?"

Have you got any comics you loved?
